MR. COD is one of the leading fast-food, take-away, and restaurant chains specialising in fish and chicken.
Established in 1979 when MR. COD opened its first UK outlet near London, the company has since expanded by franchising the business both in the UK and abroad.
The company has typical American fast food systems, with specialised American cooking equipment.
Mr John Brewer launched MR. COD, he was joined in 1984 by Mr. Abdul Choudhry. Both have been instrumental in directing this business. Together, they have several successful franchises both around the UK, and internationally.

The MR. COD trademark has been registered since 1983, and its use is offered exclusively to franchisees both here in the UK, and abroad. The design and equipping of the MR. COD units must be to MR. COD’s specifications, as are the highly competitive menu structures.
Over the years, MR. COD has developed its own license agreement which is designed to give a high degree of protection to both franchisor and franchisee. All prospective franchisees are advised to take independent legal advice before entering into a franchise.
As the international growth of MR. COD continues, further options are now available around the world; the cost of these MR. COD options vary depending on the potential of each country, but each case consists of an initial option fee, and an on-going royalty once the licensee is operating.
